Japan Prep Notes is written by a small team living in Japan. We answer the questions first-time visitors actually ask — what it costs, what to do before you fly, and when to book — and we check every number against the official source.
How we write
- Every fee, date and rule links to the official page it came from, with the date we last checked it.
- When the official sources don't say something, we tell you so. If we give our own suggestion, we label it "Our suggestion" so you can tell it apart from an official rule.
- We use AI tools to help draft and check articles. Numbers are not written from memory: each one is matched to the official source linked in the article.
What we don't do
We are not a travel agency. We don't sell tours or plan trips for you, and we don't take bookings.
